First Post

Welcome, Nola Skeptics. This is the first attempt at co-ordinating Skeptic activities in NoLa.  We already have a Nola Skeptics in the Pub and Swampy Science Social Club (also known as Nola Science Cafe) (links to facebook and meet-up sites for both on this site). Skeptics are NOT necessarily humanists or atheists, but they can be. The emphasis in skepticism is on a rational and scientific approach to life.

We will be posting future events and debriefing of past events. Future plans are to post relevant blogs, to allow comments/polite discussion on the blogs and relevant topics, to get an e-newsletter going, to host a Skepticamp and a Nola Science Festival. Hopefully, we will link/meet-up with other skeptic group sites around the country and world. I beg your patience while I improve this new site! Thanks!

Penny Bright.
